Bailout Bullshit

Published by Tom at 8:11 pm under Politics

Karen and I are not rich. I am struggling to find a quality job. Karen is a hard working teacher who shows up everyday and puts in 120%. We pay our bills on time and have never been late on a single bill. We have no hand outs. We ask for nothing but the right to live our life free and do what we can to improve our lives for ourselves.yet we face all the price increases and raising taxes along with every other honest hard working American family. Where the hell is our bail out?

Bush along with the help of the Democratic Controlled Congress has written a blank check to thee Henry Paulson. The purpose of this check, any damn thing he sees fit to do. All the giddy girls and those who voted for Obama thinks he will save us from all this. Did we forget, he voted for this very plan. Now he is on board in a plan to offer another bailout to the big three auto makers.

This is fast becoming a welfare state not only for the really poor but also the rich corporations. As much as these companies were mismanaged, do we really think Government involvement will do any better? Where is all the money coming from? I can tell you, it comes directly from taxes of honest hardworking Americans who suffer the economic downturn by doing what they always have. They pay for what they borrow, they pay their bills, and they pull themselves up by the bootstrap. This is the American Way!

If the back bone of America does not regroup and stand together to fight and fire these morons in Washington who are selling our futures down the road, we will soon find that it is no longer a free nation of hard working people. It will be a welfare government owned state where “we the people” are now “us poor sheep.”

How do you feel about the bailout mania and the future of America as it stands now?

My husband is about to get laid off so all the economic gloom and doom has hit home. I’m tired of sweeping up the messes of irresponsible fatcats. America just doesn’t learn. On that cheery note…

@frogmama, I am sorry for that. It is sad that you can not call your so called representatives to bail you and your family out. It is hitting the middle class hard and all the money is going to bail out everyone but us.

They can bail out the Auto Industry but it still does not make it any better for Americans to afford cars or to feed their families for that matter.

I hope you are in a better area for jobs than I am so your husband can get a new one quick. Good Luck and keep me up to date.

I am not an economist, but it seems to me if we are supposed to be a Capitalist country then the companies should be allowed to fail, so new management and other regrouping can occur. The big 3 companies are so heavily unionized, that some workers make upwards of 40 dollars per hour, with increasing benefit costs. I am not saying the union is bad, but you would think if they all want to keep a job, they will restructure their contracts with the companies, so everyone survives. As for the bailouts, it is ridiculous. I was not for it in the beginning, and I am not for it now.

Melissa, You do not have to be an economist to figure this out. These companies need to fail to restructure and emerge stronger than before. They can not continue to afford these high cost and the mismanaged business.

GM, Ford, and Chrysler are the back bone of America auto industry. However, they still should not be bailed out by the Government. The majority of Americans are against this and the other bailouts. However, our so called representatives still keep passing all this. I am pissed off!

Thanks for the comment and I hope people like you continue to voice their opinion and the next election for Congress, we ban together and vote them all out who keep voting for this garbage.

Steven, he just does not have what it takes to be bailed out.

First problem is, he is an honest hardworking citizen (how crazy is that). Second, he has not mismanaged anything that he was in control of. Third, he is just too insignificant to matter to Washington.

What the hell is wrong with our nation. This type of person is the back bone of America but are they getting bailout? Hell no, it is those who have mismanaged the large banks and industries that are being bailed out.

They made fun of Joe the Plumber, but he and many like him are what made this nation what it is.

I hope your son in law finds a new job soon and things turn around. I have been there brother and I know what it feels like. I am feeling the crunch myself with the job market and trying to find work. Two jobs I applied for and thought I had were cut from the budgets due to the crunch.

Please keep me informed how they are doing!

This nations best bet to get out of this hole were in, is to just let the “Big 3″ go chapter 11 just like Circuit city. If we bail them out now, they will continue on the same track that has failed for so long. With a bailout now, the money will only last a few years, and we will go back into another recession.

Let them go under now so we get get it over with and get on the road to national recovery!

This is not just a small economic crisis that we are facing - I believe that is the downfall of the monetary system, government, capitalism, democracy and everything in between that we were raised & taught to believe were necessary to the well being of our society.

I do not believe in and nor do I support government bailouts. Banks fucked up - I say let ‘em bleed to death. And the same goes to GM Motors, Ford and Chrysler. Because at the end of the day this corrupted system is destined to fail. The Federal Reserve, the World Bank, the New York Stock Exchange, etc. is all run by a bunch of dominant crooks that cares about nothing less than their own interest and this includes our government who really does not give a rat’s ass about us, the middle & lower classes . The greed of men is merciless and never before as it been so apparent.

Barack Obama…it’s just more of the same. His agenda: keep the status quo just like everyone else before him. We’re all just slaves to this system and if you ask me NOTHING will ever change as long as we turn to our leaders for solving problems. Because the “real” problem is not our government – the real problem is us supporting it. We must stop supporting the system. How can we do this? By educating ourselves and being aware of what is being done to us. The web is full of information regarding the bailout, the fraudulent monetary system, the fake economy and that bullshit war on terror.

You said it. But try having your Ford cruise control recall fixed and still watch it burn to the ground. Ford turns around and says “tough luck.” That’s Ford tough. And yet they still get bailed out to sell new vehicles. To whom? They have several lawsuits against them with vehicles, houses, and lives lost all due to their product. When you take out a loan. At the botttom line it states By signing this, I hearby swear all things to be stated true to the best of my knowledge. Did anyone in Congress ask the CEOs to list all the assests? Corporate, personal, and hidden.
