I have been laughing my ass off since the Presidential Election at all the blogs that are posting about Obama. I have seen some of people who have broken down in tears that finally someone has come to save the world. Guess what! No politician is going to save you. He is not going to put money in your pocket. He is not going to lower your taxes. Most of all, he is not going to change the entire workings of the United States Government.

Let’s first look at his first two major choices. His first major pick was Joe Biden for his VP. This man has been a U.S Senator since 1972. Damn, I was only six back then. Wow, talk about a Washington outsider. He only has been at it for 26 years. I am sure that Obama’s next big choice was going with his “change philosophy.”

His second choice was for White House Chief of Staff. He chose Rahm Emanuel. OK, now we are getting to the nitty gritty, he is a Washington outsider right? OK, he has only been in Congress since 2003. I guess that could be considered an outsider. Oh wait, he started his career helping Paul Simon get elected in 1984. Oh let us not forget, he also served as a senior advisor to the Clinton administration. These two sure do not look like change to me.

I have to be honest, I did not vote for Obama and still do not think that his lack of experience and his charm is what this country needs right now. I also do not believe or think that the big change is coming. His socialist ideas from the campaign is not much different from the extreme liberal ideas of past Democrats. His plans to spend lots of money to buy our way out of a economic slump will fail much like it did for George Bush.

His plan to raise taxes on the rich will trickle down. If he succeeds in taxing those making over $250,000, this will result in job losses, lower wages for those in lower income brackets , and higher consumer prices. His plan to bail out everyone will result in a negative balance on the tax payers that has been unheard of in history. Trust me, Bush did a great job so far. Do you really deep down believe he will save us all?

Listen, it is your job to look out for you and your family. It should not be the role of the Unites States Government to bail out a mess you got into. It is also not their role to send billions to banks and other businesses to do with as they please. The American People have survived well for many years because they were tough and took the initiative to do what it took to better them self. Now that is being punished because they make too much.

I wish Obama well and I hope he can help America in the next four years. However, I have my doubt about much change. The only change I see is the skin color of the President of the United States. Sorry to disappoint you but Barrack Obama is not the anointed Messiah you have all hoped for.

If you are like me, you are not looking forward to the upcoming Presidential Election. We have had bad candidates in the past but at least it was a case of the lesser of two evils. This time we are faced with the daunting task of picking a president by a flip of the coin. Neither one are worthy to be in the office and it scares me to think that we are faced without a choice.

First we see McCain. He has pledged to do whatever it takes to basically carry on the legacy of George W. Bush. He has nothing new and will carry on a program that will continue to take our nation on a downward decline. He offers no real solutions and he has fully supported the recent bailout plan that was opposed by a vast majority of Americans.

On the other side, we have Obama. This man has little experience and is so wishy washy that his policies change by what direction the wind is blowing. He has tied to radicals, terrorist, criminals, and voting fraud organizations. This man just plain outright scares me and should scare all of you. He also jumped on the bailout plan against the wises of those he was hired to represent.

In the first time in my adult life, I am thinking of just staying home during the election. If I do decide to vote, I am thinking of writing in “None of the above!” Could you imagine if the majority of Americans would do this? It would sens a true message to the political world that we are fed up with the crap we are being fed, I also believe that if you want your voice heard, you need to vote out all the monkeys who voted for the bailout plan. This will cost us and our future generations more than it will ever help any of us now.

Please let your voice be heard and place those in office who work for you and not their own political interest. Our representatives should not be up for sale!

How do you feel about the bailout and the upcoming election?

Recently we have seen Barack Obama sweeping through many states during the primaries. However, is this a trend that the nation as a whole will follow in November. I seriously think not.

First let’s look at the matter of race. He is the first black man or woman to have a serious shot at the presidential race. He is charismatic and I guess attractive to the female population. However, this is OK when you are referring to the Democratic Party. We must still face the fact that the majority of Republicans are controlled by white well off men. I do not believe Obama has the ability to attract these votes.

Of course, he is also very young and inexperienced when it comes to the Federal Government. This will also be less attractive to Republicans. His campaign pushes the issue of inexperience as a positive thing. They claim that it will not be politics as usual. Inexperience works when  you are talking a Congressman or even a Senator, however, you are talking about the most powerful leader in the world. I for one do not want on the job training for a position of this importance.

For the first time in the history of the Unites States, we have a black man facing a woman for the nomination of a major political party for president. It is an amazing moment in history. However, I wonder if all Obama votes are against Hillary Clinton instead of for him. I heard people talking the other day and a statement came out, “better a black man than a woman.”  Could this be a sentiment that is carried throughout the nation?

I for one could care if the person is black, white, Asian, woman, man, or whatever. I am looking for someone with experience who can go in and get the job done. We are facing, in McCain, a continuation of George Bush’s policies. We need a Democrat who can beat him in November and in my opinion, Obama is not that person. He is too inexperienced and I do not see him uniting America or regaining the respect of the world.

One more year left of George Bush. Can we make it? Well let us take a look back at the last 7 years and see what we have in a leader. First, we take a look at the first election. Bush barely won and in some people’s eyes he was not the real winner. How did Bush handle it? He went on television and claimed that he has the full support of the American People. This was not the true case but in his eyes, a win meant that he was fully supported by all of America.

OK, so let’s look at the first term. Bush passed a great tax refund for the middle class. This was great. The downfall was that the tax refund caused less funding to state and local programs. The fallout was that because of these refunds, our property tax, sales taxes, and state taxes increased much more than the original tax refund.

The second event of his first term was 9/11. This was a disaster that Bush turned into a hunt on terrorist. He had support from almost of all of the American people and Congress. He did do the right thing to go into Afghanistan. Of course then he decided to go into Iraq and piss off a majority of the world leaders and also most of our allies.

Let us not forget the improvement he has made to education. No Child Left Behind, this great program that was going to improve our education system. It was poorly funded, too much pressure put on students, and caused teachers to teach to the test or fear losing federal funding.

In the first term he managed to raise the federal debt and cause are men and women in uniform to be placed in the Iraq. He created a world where we are hated by many parts of the world.

Well along came the second election and again, Bush barely got by and won by a very slim margin. Once again, he went on television to exclaim that he has heard the confidence that the American people has in him. I can not understand who voted for him but I think it was a vote of no confidence in John Kerry more than a vote for Bush.

In the second term, Bush’s cabinet was under attack as with the first and many of his top members fell in the crossfire. We also saw another disaster in America in the form of Hurricane Katrina. We seen the Federal Government under George Bush’s leadership respond in such a slow and poor manner that we looked more like a third world country. Was it because the poor people of New Orleans really did not matter in Bush’s scheme? We will never know for sure but it was a sore stain on American history. FEMA was the last to respond and allowed many deaths to occur.

So after all this, are we Americans better off after seven years of Bush? I say no way. Prices are through the roof for just about everything we purchase. Gas and fuel prices are scary as rich oil companies are making all time high profits. Federal taxes are down but we are paying much more taxes over all. Hopefully the last year will be swift and the end will come soon.

How will history look at the legacy of George Bush? Well, we Americans do not wish to look at our past leaders in the negative so maybe he will look better in the books than he does in the present time. I for one will be glad to see the end of the Bush administration.
