I remember the days when making money from home meant stuffing envelopes or walking dogs. There was not a lot of opportunity to make a nice living from home.

Franchises have always been a great way to start a business. You pay a fee but you receive the support and business name from a long standing reliable company. In the past, you could only get a franchise for brick and mortar businesses like McDonald’s. That was before the onset of home based franchises.

If you are looking to work from home and make a solid reliable income, there are loads of franchise opportunities just waiting for people like you. The opportunities are out there for making a large amount of money. It takes some time and dedication but you could become a top notch business owner.

One thing to be aware of with franchises is that there is an upfront investment. Many get rich quick schemes talk about making tons of money by just buying their $100 program. The only one getting rich is the people selling the program. Franchises are not like that. They are already an honest proven business model and offer loads of support. Some ask for a one time investment and others have an ongoing franchise fee. Their main goal is for you to become a success and represent their name as a success.

The most poplar franchises are the home services franchises. These can range from pet services to drain cleaning and many services in between. Most of these franchises have been around for years and have a proven track record. They limit the service areas so that you will not be competing with thousands of people in your town doing the same thing.

Franchises are a great way to start a home business. Because of the investment, one should make sure they are committed before starting a business. Make sure you are prepared for the work load, make sure you know how much you can invest, and above all, do your research.

I hope you read my last post with a picture of my rooster. The title was a joke but I guess some people can not laugh or have a sense of humor. I have a live feed going to a forum called Digital Point that I am quite an active member. I was banned for the title of my post “Wanna see my cock.”

However,  I am sure by the content that is often allowed on the forum that the issue is much deeper than my post. It is a way for certain moderators to flex their muscles because I have asked a few too many questions about the rules of the forum. 

Up until recently, I enjoyed the forum and is a great wealth of information for webmasters. However, it is becoming a haven for scammers and  the regular honest members are getting silly little infraction while the forum is being overrun by people doing currency exchanges.

I have spoke out several times and requested answers on trying to figure out the rules of the forum. They seem to change everyday. I think the owner, Shawn, should get the moderators on the same page.

I plan to return after the day long ban but I think many of the members share my disdain on the direction the forum as a whole is going.

Shawn, if you read this, I hope you will attempt to return the forum to the way it was when all of the reliable long-time members joined.
