Help the Salvation Army
Some of you may have noticed that there is a new feature on top of the blog. It is a Red Kettle. The Salvation Army is hurting in these bad times when those in need really need the help. Maybe it is just a small thing but I am hoping my small Kettle will inspire all of you to donate to help others in need.
When I was a child, we had a time when we needed shelter and being from a family of eleven kids, that is no easy task. The Salvation Army was there for my family and I try to give back whenever I can.
I encourage all of you to help where you can. A drop of a few coins in your local kettle or you can donate directly by clicking on the Kettle above. It will take you directly to the secure Salvation Army website and you can donate as much as little as you can afford.or
There are tons of families hurting in these hard economic times and this a way for all us to give a helping hand up through one of the best organizations in the world.
Thanks for all those who help either here or anywhere you see that big Red Kettle.
Merry Christmas to all of you!

Not me. These greedy schmucks need to sell off some of their big houses for their ministers, cut back/layoff those same ministers, quit stockpiling money in trust funds and actually spend some donation money on people that they claim to help.
Maybe when they disclose their income/expenses nationally, or quit claiming they are a church to get out of filing a 990?
They are a mega-corporation, mega bucks, mega greed and a lot of PR hype.
Won’t give these guys a cent, ever!
I guess you are entitled to your opinion but I have seen many programs done by the organization. Not into the religious part but they do some great things.
Very interesting topic , thankyou for posting . “Everything in the world may be endured except continued prosperity.” by Johann von Goethe.
