My parents definitely had the most influence on me as I grew up. I was very rebellious by nature but the foundation was there and I always came back to it. They were rock solid and excellent models of parenting and marriage.
Elizabeth, you are the first of the day! Send me a message over at Entrecard and you win 25 credits. This is in addition to the 50 that is still up for grabs.
For good or for ill, I suppose most people are influenced by their parents, so if I exclude parents from the debate, I would have to give the honour to the teacher who taught me chemistry between the ages of 14 and 16, Mr Taylor. He instilled a real interest in chemistry and I decided to study it at university. Now, if it hadn’t been for Mr Taylor, I would have chosen a totally different course and gone to a different university. And if I had done that I would never have met my husband. So you could say that Mr Taylor had a profound influence over my life, far beyond the expected.
