DO Follow Directory

Published by Tom under Webmaster, Websites Reviews

Finding good back links for your website or blog is not always easy. If order for them to count for the search engines, they need to be do follow links. You could spend hours searching and checking websites to see if they have do follow links.

Instead of wasting time searching, I found a great way to find do follow links. I found a DoFollow Directory that has listings of several websites and blogs who allow you to comment and those comments are do follow links. Like many other directories, they have several categories and offer a wide selection of niches to choose from. Webmasters can find many benefits from using this directory.

If you have a do follow blog that allows comments, they allow you to Submit DoFollow Blogs for free. This is a great way to increase traffic for your sites. If you are in a hurry to get listed, you can contact the web owner to purchase a premium listing.

The directory is well designed and easy to navigate. I find that this directory very helpful for any webmaster who is trying to promote his/her site or for finding great places for quality back links. You need to check this one out for yourself!

Spammer Attack

Published by Tom under General Blog Stuff

I appreciate when my reader leave me a comment and share their thoughts, suggestions, and views. In recent weeks, the spammers have attacked the comment section and create havoc with loads of porn related links. I just wanted to clarify my comment policy for my readers and the lowlife spammers.

If you leave a comment, there is a place for you to supply a URL to your website or blog. I have made sure that all of those links are follow links and will give you a good back link. However, links placed within the comment will be marked as spam unless it related to helpful information to do with the post you are commenting on. Please leave comments related to the post.

I am pleased to offer my readers a solid back-link from my PR3 blog if they contribute something with their comment. If you are planning to spam this blog or any blog owned by me, I moderate all comments and they will never be published. All relative comments will be published and if you put your website URL in the appropriate place, you will earn a solid backlink.

Thanks for all the comments I have received and I appreciate the many readers who take the time to read my blogs.

If you want to learn more about back links and how to check for no follow links. Please feel free to check out my webmaster blog.

PR vs. Traffic

Published by Tom under Webmaster

There is often a lot of confusion about how important Page Rank (PR) is to a website or blog. There are people asking about Google PR updates all the time. Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion.

PR is a way Google rates a site page based mostly on the amount of back links a site has pointing toward their site. The better the link (more PR), the more juice it will pass on in terms of PR to your site. It looks good to have a high PR but it does nothing for traffic unless the links are from a site with a related niche (topic). However, PR is great if you are selling links for others to build their PR.

To have a successful site or blog, the key is to have traffic. Not just any traffic. You want quality traffic of people who are interested in what you have to say or interested in your niche. This why it is important when looking for links, you try to focus on traffic more than PR.

To get traffic, find other sites that are related to your niche and those are where you want to place your link back to your site. These can include forums, websites, blogs, and directories. Other ways are article writing about your site, press releases, and advertising in local newspapers. Anywhere you find a person interested in your niche is a good place to advertise.

You can also use many of the sites like digg, Stumble Upon, Facebook, MySpace, and other social media markets to promote your site. However, use caution so your advertising does not end up looking or being spam. Also, many of these sites produce traffic for your site but not good traffic. It is up to you to offer something to keep the people there when they come.

The key to do this is to offer original quality content that will keep them reading and coming back. Most people will not return if they see the same thing they can find everywhere else. Spice it up and be original.

Build and they will come but not if you fail to,let them know where you are. So when building back links, worry about quality over quantity and focus on building traffic not PR.

There are many sites on the Internet so make yours the best it can be. If it all looks bleak, say “That Blozzz” and don’t give up.

Good luck and check back for more webmaster related posts.
