Ticket Broker Ripoffs: Exclusive Tickets.com
The play Wicked is coming playing in Rochester, NY and my wife and I really wanted to go. My mother in law bought us a gift certificate at the website Exclusive Tickets.com for $150. My wife ordered our tickets about 10 months ago from this site and they cost her $270 with fees. We just got our tickets for June 7th on the mail and they are the worse seats in the balcony and the ticket price on the ticket was $40.50 each.
This site charged over three times the value for what was suppose to be the best seating. They offer no refunds and if the show is canceled, they will refund face value even though they charged three times as much. My wife failed to read the fine print and it is partly her fault for not checking better. However, this company is ripping people off legally.
I highly recommend that people avoid these kinds of sites and only buy your tickets from reputable sites like Ticket Masters. The worse thing is, I found center front stage tickets on eBay for $120. Of course, my wife already bought these tickets so we are stuck with them.
This is just a warning that you should avoid companies like Exclusive Tickets.com and be careful when buying anything like this off the Internet. Research is key!

Actually I use that website quite frequently. Exclusivetickets.com has been great for me for the last several years. Sure, they charge more than face value for the seats but that is what you have to do when you want tickets to a sold out event.
They are MUCH better than Stubhub. Stubhub has just regular people looking to score a quick buck listing tickets on there. Stubhub is not a licensed ticket broker. Exclusive Tickets and Exclusive Tickets.com is a licensed and bonded ticket broker who can be trusted. I implore you to buy from them again and enjoy the ease of ordering.
They are no better than a scalper and I would not spend another dime with them. They ripped us off on an event that was not sold out when my wife purchased the tickets.
I blame myself for not checking behind her but the company is a pure rip off.
I don’t know man. Exclusive Tickets sells tickets to ALL events…sold out or not. You should always check with the venue first to see if an event is sold out. If it is, Exclusive Tickets is a GREAT service. If not, you can still at least choose where you want to sit instead of Ticketmaster telling you where you are going to sit.
It seems like you are blaming Exclusive Tickets.com for the actions of your wife. I get it…I know how stupid wives can be…I’ve had three…..but if your wife went to the site, she obviously:
A. chose the seats that she ordered….
B. knew the exact price…
C. Agreed that she read the terms and conditions.
My advice….get a divorce….your wife is an idiot…..shes exactly what is wrong with this country…blaming the big guys for her own ignorant actions…don’t go along for the ride…get out NOW!!
Calling my wife an Idiot shows your mentality. Who gets a divorce over tickets?

BTW, my wife is triple certified in teaching and holds both a Bachelors and a Masters Degree.
She was attempting to use a gift that her mother had given us.
I stated not once but twice that it was her fault and mine for not checking behind her. It does not negate the fact that this company is over charging for tickets.
You are obviously looking for a fight and I am in a good mood and not willing to sink to the name calling tactics.
